Before LinQ: A Life Defined by Pain
Chad A. was involved in a traumatic work incident, where a large truck (see photo) rolled over his entire pelvic region when he was working on a wheel below it. The incident caused catastrophic damage to his lower back, leaving him in and out of surgery for two weeks. His veins had collapsed, and he required two blood transfusions just to stabilize. While some of his initial surgeries healed various of his other pain generators, there remained this illusive pain that no doctor could seem to figure out. As a result, Chad likened the pain to feeling like an old man. For over four years, Chad had been unable to sit up straight since or stand comfortably.
Prior Treatments Providing Temporary Relief
As Chad sought treatment, several doctors advised that his only option was likely a bilateral fusion involving rods and screws in both of his sacroiliac (SI) joints. After all the surgeries Chad had been through, he was hesitant to do something so invasive – and also felt like this just wasn’t his answer. He continued living with pain. In the meantime, Chad had been through several therapies and procedures after his incident. Pertaining to the SI Joint, they had tried bracing, limited PT and eventually did SI Joint injections.

Post Procedure, Chad mentioned feeling an immediate difference, claiming 100% relief with his pain score going from a 10 to a 0, overnight! Additionally, Chad barely felt any soreness at the site of the incision with no pain down in the SI Joint. He voiced he felt more stabilized and the minimal pain on the untreated side had subsided with his restored function. Chad even joked to his wife he was ready to go back to work just after one weekend!
Now: Freedom to Enjoy Life Pain Free
Chad mentioned that any remaining pain he had from his traumatic truck accident is completely gone. He feels like a new man, now able to sit up comfortably, stand for long periods and take walks again with his wife. He feels as if LINQ truly restored that part of his spine.
