Outcomes Of A Posterior Approach To SI Joint Fusion With LinQ

PainTEQ, a medical device company focused on innovative, minimally invasive solutions for sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction, today announced the appointment of Mike Sherman to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

“Mike is a skilled architect and an avid disciple of the AO principles,” said Shanth Thiyagalingam, Chief Executive Officer of PainTEQ. “He brings deep, hands–on expertise in orthopedic innovation, product development, and strategic partnerships. Mike will be an invaluable resource as we accelerate adoption of our LinQ® SI Joint Stabilization System, expand our product portfolio, and execute the next phase of growth.”

Mr. Sherman brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across medical device innovation and company building. At Medtronic’s Spine division, he created and led the Technology Development group, responsible for advancing novel product solutions and leading spine–related business development activities. He later spent nine years as a Partner at MB Venture Partners, where he sourced and led investments in early–stage musculoskeletal companies. In 2011, he founded MB Innovations (MBI), serving as Executive Chairman since its inception and assuming the role of President & CEO in January 2017. Mr. Sherman is an inventor on more than 130 U.S. patents spanning spinal implants, surgical instruments, and minimally invasive techniques.

“I’m honored to join PainTEQ’s Board,” said Mr. Sherman. “PainTEQ is setting a new standard for treating SI joint dysfunction with a patient–focused, minimally invasive approach. I look forward to partnering with Shanth and the Board to help guide the company’s strategy and deliver meaningful solutions to patients worldwide.”

Mike Sherman’s appointment reflects PainTEQ’s commitment to advancing innovation in SI joint care,” said Dr. Timothy Deer, Co–Chair of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN). “His track record in innovation is exactly what’s needed to ensure that new technologies like LinQ® reach the patients who need them most.”

About LinQ: The LinQ SI Joint Stabilization System provides patients with a minimally invasive option to combat pain due to sacroiliac disease. After a thorough diagnostic process, physicians may help alleviate – and in many cases eliminate – chronic pain by placing a single LinQ allograft into the SI joint. With its large graft window, the LinQ implant is designed to create an ideal environment for long-term fusion.
